Sam started playing roller hockey at the age of 8 with his local team, Dewsbury Dragons, before playing ice hockey at Bradford Ice Arena.

He went through the ranks at Bradford until he reached Under 16s. He also continued to play roller hockey for Snaith Stormers and Chaddy Wild Sharks.

After a break from hockey, he joined Bradford Sabres university team, which brought back his love for the game. After graduation, he took another 5 year hiatus before joining Leeds Warriors at the back end of 2021.

Sam has a great hockey IQ and is a crucial part of our offence.
