One of 4 Latvians in the Warriors ranks, Niks comes from the city of Balvi.

He used to watch hockey with his Grandpa from a young age.

Having moved to England, in 2019 Niks decided to get into hockey. He bought his first skates and attended public sessions for a few months before joining a learn-to-play hockey class in Bradford.

Soon after, he joined Bradford Cannibals and trained with them for a year.

Excited at the opening of the new rink in Leeds, Niks decided to try his luck at the Warriors trial and has been with us ever since.

Niks improves each week during training and is a crucial part of our offence.
