Warriors 1 enter a new competition for 2023-24 season

Our first team will compete in the ‘Blood, Sweat & Beers’ tournament in the 2023-24 season.

Our Warriors 1 team had previously competed in the Northern Recreational Hockey Cup (NRHC). This was a tough competition, with some exceptionally strong teams. During the course of the season the Warriors lost some players which affected the depth of the squad and it became difficult to be competitive. That said, the Warriors won their opening game at home to Cleveland Comets and took home a victory against Blackburn Falcons away. They also took Whitley Bay Islanders to a shoot-out.

But on reflection, with the loss of players, it was deemed to be more sensible to switch to a competition where the team can compete more effectively. All the players are excited to be a part of this competition.
