Leeds Warriors

Our Warriors 2 team went into this game looking to make amends for the 11-1 defeat at the hands of the Aardvarx back in January. And make amends they did, with an emphatic victory in a 21 goal game.

The Warriors started the game strongly, racing into a 6-0 lead with goals from Niku Ghaemi, Tom Cokill, Martin Birch, Nathan Clegg and Simon Morrow.

The Aardvarx responded with a goal near the end of the period, but the Warriors were in a strong position going into the second period at 6-1.

The second period was a tighter affair, but the Warriors still won the period 3-1, courtesy of a period hat-trick from Tom Cokill. That took his total to four for the game, and there was still more to come.

This took the score-line to 9-2.

At the start of the final period, Tom Cokill picked up where he left off, picking up the first goal to bring the Warriors to ten goals.

Another 5 goals from the Warriors put the game out of sight as the Aardvarx could only reply once.

This meant the period score matched that of the first period - 6-1. Goal scorers were Niku Ghaemi, Simon Morrow, Josh Brindley, Mohsan Lin - and another for Tom Cokill which took his individual goal tally to 6 for the game.
