Warriors 1 to compete at RECFEST 2024 in Sheffield

Our first team will compete in the 2024 RECFEST tournament at Ice Sheffield over the weekend of 17-18th August.

This will be the Warriors first time competing in this 15-team tournament. The team have played against a few of the competing teams previously. Namely, the Comets, Blazers and Lightning - but the rest are an unknown quantity.

The tournament will consist of 3 groups of 5 teams. Each team will compete against the other 4 teams in their group in a round-robin style on the Saturday. The top 5 best teams from the Saturday will then compete against each other on the Sunday in a ‘Championship’ group, with the next 5 best teams competing in the ‘Plate’ group. The lowest placed 5 teams will compete in the consolation cup group.

Group games will be 15 minutes running clock and there will be no icing rule imposed.
