Warriors 1 take on Cleveland Comets in pre-season game

On Saturday 25th November, our Warriors 1 team take on the Cleveland Comets at Planet Ice, Leeds.

This is a pre-season challenge game, as the team starts to prepare for their campaign in the “Blood, Sweat & Tears’ Cup.

Cleveland Comets are well known to the Warriors, having played against them in the NRHC (Northern Recreational Hockey Cup) last season.

As the Comets are one of the best recreational teams in the country and this will be a stern test.

The Warriors will be without some key players - Lewis Pickering (NM), Chris Giles (D), Ollie Gannon (D), Ellen Gallimore (D), Simon Morrow (F) and Ethan Jones (F/D).

Although there will be some Warriors 1 debutants - Nathan Clegg (D) and Tyler Heming (D) were moved up from Warriors 2 during the off-season. Netminder Matt Gatenby will be sharing his time in net with Ben Briggs and our newest recruit, Dzintars Jonuss, will be playing RW on the third line.
