Warriors 1 to play Kingston tournament

Our Warriors1 team are competing in this year’s Kingston Cobras tournament at Hull Arena.

The tournament takes place on the weekend of Saturday 18th June and Sunday 19th June.

Alongside the Warriors and Cobras, 5 other teams are competing - Durham Dragons, Cleveland Comets, Don Valley Vikings, Blackburn Falcons and Dumfries Demons.

The games will be significantly shorter at approximately 25 minutes in length and there will also be several modifications to the rules.

The tournament starts at 10am both days and runs until 5pm. Adult tickets are £5 and kids are £1. Tickets are purchased on entry.

It’s sure to be a fun weekend of hockey. I’d expect the standard of hockey to be of a higher standard on the Saturday as after a night on the town, the team may be slightly jaded on the Sunday!

Unfortunately, there are some notable absentees for the tournament - Sam Cromack (F), Sam Forrester (D), Dan Zylinski (F) and Lewis Astill (F).

Captain Chris Giles will also only be available for the Saturday.
