New Warriors 1 coach announced

A few weeks ago our Head Coach, Alex Jones announced that he would be stepping back from both coaching and playing for a while.

Alex was the first coach of Leeds Warriors and his contribution to the club has been massive.

Sam Forrester steps into the role with immediate effect and will take his first training session as our new coach on Friday 30th June.

Since joining the Warriors, Sam has been an integral player for the team. He has also been both the coach of Warriors 2 and club Chairman for the last six months.

Both of these roles will now need to be filled, given Sam’s new coaching position.

Sam has become integral to the Warriors set-up in a short space of time and we are confident he will do a great job.

As for Alex, this is a ‘see you soon’ and not a final goodbye. There’s a high chance that we’ll see him back with the club in future months after a well earned break.
