This was held in the Gary Speed Suite at Elland Road football stadium.

Chairperson award

Stella Giswisser

Congratulations Stella. We’re pleased you have received this recognition for your commitment to supporting all our teams and the sport in general.

Here’s what Stella had to say about the award:

“Thank you so much for this award. It really means a lot to both me and Richard. We live, love and breath ice hockey and we will always be there to support our club. I love this club and all it’s members. We are not just a team, we are a family, and it’s a family I am so proud to be a part of.”

And fittingly, there was also a special mention for the club matriarch, Lisa Speed, who shoulders so much of the responsibility for keeping the club running. We’re all so grateful for Lisa’s efforts and do not take her for granted. Thank you Lisa.

Another mention should be made regarding the 2 players who picked up 2 awards on the night - Niks Kamaldins and Stephen Elliott both picked up the Most Improved and Player’s player awards. A great night for you both. Well done.

All players received a medal as a memento of their first full season as a Warrior. See the gallery of images below.

It was such a fun night of celebration. On behalf of all who attended, a huge thanks to Alex Jones and the other organisers for making it happen. We really appreciate the massive effort you all went to!

Bring on the new season!
