Farewell to Head Coach - Sam Forrester

Sam sits in his corner of the changing room for the last time..

Friday night was a bittersweet occasion for Warriors 1 and the club as a whole, as they said goodbye to long-serving Warrior, Sam Forrester. Over the past three years, Sam has made an immense contribution to the club, both on and off the ice.

Sam first trained with the team on 28th January 2022, and within a year, he had stepped up as the coach of Warriors 2. Just a month later, on 20th February 2023, he also took on the role of Club Chairman. Balancing both positions for four months, he then transitioned to Head Coach on 28th June 2023.

As a player, Sam featured in 17 games and 4 tournaments, tallying 12 goals and 7 assists. But beyond the stats, it was his hockey knowledge, leadership, and great sense of humor that made him such a valued teammate and coach.

Now, as Sam and his wife, Paige, embark on their next adventure in Canada, the Warriors family wishes them both all the best in this exciting new chapter. Sam will be greatly missed, but his impact on the club will not be forgotten.

Thanks Sam!
