Originally from Derby, Ben first learnt to skate aged 8, while living in Newcastle. However, he didn’t start playing ice hockey until he moved to Salford University.

While there, he joined the Manchester Metro Stars, and very early on, he had his heart set on being between the pipes.

After progressing through the ranks of the Metros and attending training camps in both the UK and Finland, he eventually found himself competing with the A’s and Varsity team.

Ben’s previous university hockey experience has proven invaluable to the team as he transitions into recreational hockey.
